How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Swagman Okanagan 125 bike carrier on our 2021 Nissan Murano. The Okanagan is a wheel-mounted bike carrier, so that means that your bike is secured using a front hook and a rear strap without making any frame contact. So if you have a carbon fiber bike, a step through bike, or just a nice paint job where you didn't want any contact, this is gonna be one of the better options available for you. A cool feature is the fact that you do have a awesome foot pedal release tilt feature that's gonna allow you to tilt your carrier down while you're loaded and access your cargo area. So it is a really good tilt and it gives you plenty of space to get to the back of your Murano. You just definitely wanna make sure that you are cautious because that weight, once that latch is released, it's just gonna come right down and then just to lift 'er back up, it just clicks right back into place. more

Thule T2 Pro XTR Bike Rack Review - 2021 Nissan Murano- Video
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Thule T2 XTR Bike Carrier on our 2021 Nissan Murano. The T2 XTR is a wheel-mounted bike carrier, so what that's gonna do for you, it's gonna secure your bike to the back of your vehicle by making contact with your front and rear wheel. It doesn't have any contact with your top tube. So if you have a unconventional frame or a carbon fiber frame bike, this is gonna be a great option to secure your bike without making any contact. On the back of our vehicle, it doesn't take up very much space and it gives you a lot of flexibility. Using the handle here, (mechanism clicking) we're able to tilt our carrier and access our cargo area pretty easily. more

The XTC2 TILT is a bike carrier that's frame mounted, so it's going to make contact with the top tube of your bike. If you have a carbon fiber bike or unconventional frame, it may not be the best option for you. A wheel mounted carrier may be better, but if you're not overly concerned with that contact to your frame, this is gonna be one of the better ways to transport your bike, as far as being cost effective. The StageTwo is a wheel mounted bike carrier, meaning that it's going to secure your bike to the carrier using a front hook and a rear cradle strap to lock it down, so you're not making any contact to your cross tube at the top. And so if you have a carbon fiber bike like this one or a unconventional frame bike, it's gonna be able to be flexible to work with both. Another thing to take notice of is the fact that the StageTwo does have a tilt feature. It's gonna allow you to pull your lever and access your cargo area. Hollywood Racks Destination E Bike Rack Review - 2021 Nissan Murano- Video
How you doing This is Ed here at etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination E Bike Carrier on the 2021 Nissan Murano. Now the Destination is a solid bike carrier for your E-bikes, that weigh up to 70 pounds each. As far as your contacts, you have on the rear wheel, a single strap, the front wheel, you have two straps, and a center mast clamp that makes contact with the frame. If you have a carbon fiber bike or something with a special paint job, you definitely don't wanna go with something that's gonna make this kind of contact, however, we do offer cradle mount options. So as far as clearance on the rear of the vehicle in the upright position, the bike carrier will affect your backup sensors as well as your backup camera and license plate. It looks like the tires also will be obscured, you know, well, no, it looks pretty good as far as clearing the back of your tail lights, but depending on your bike, you may still have interference as far as seeing from your handlebar, so that will vary from your style bike. more

Now, this guy is constructed of powder coated field, and also has a padded hook. On the bottom you're gonna have adjustable wheel loops, so it's gonna accommodate different wheel bases. Now, with this guy being rated at 35 pounds per bike, it wouldn't be the best option if you have a heavier bike like an e-bike. But if you have a road bike or mountain bike, that would be great for it. Also to consider is, if you have a carbon fiber bike or something with a nice paint job, the way that the bike is secured is making contact with the frame. more

Hi Matt with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about our Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack on our 2021 Nissan Murano. Now this is gonna be a great option for you if you're looking for kinda like a mid-range bike rack that's gonna be able to accommodate really heavy e-bikes. It's gonna be able to handle at most 80 pounds per bike, holding up the two of them, and we're gonna have three points of contact and we're gonna have one strap on each tire that sits in these cradles, and we're gonna have this ratcheting hook that's padded and the center making contact with our frame. Since we are making contact with the frame, I wouldn't recommend using any carbon frame bikes on it or even some alternative frame bikes on it. So we're still gonna have our tilt away feature and to do that, it's gonna be a little bit of a process, but we're gonna actually have to remove this safety clip and pull this pin out, you might have to lift up on the rack just a little bit, then when I have to pull this other pin and let it fall back, and sometimes you might have to jostle that extra pin in the back, but sometimes it'll just fall past that and unlatch for you. more

You have a padded hook at the top of your frame as well as two padded cradle and straps for your front and rear tire. Because this is gonna make contact with the frame of your bike. A bike carrier like this is gonna work great if you have like a more common type of bike frame, if you have something that's carbon fiber or you have a nicer paint job, you may wanna avoid this 'cause it will make contact with the bike's frame. Now, one thing I noticed about this rack is where it's going to sit. It's gonna keep our bike nice and high off the ground, yet it's not gonna sit up so high that it's going to block or obstruct our view out of our rear view mirror as we're going down the road. It's gonna be held in place by three straps. Hey, everybody, welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby, and today we're taking a look at the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 here on our 2020 Nissan Murano. Now the Sherpa is great if you are looking at a way of getting those lightweight bikes to the trails with you in a nice, effective, stylish looking carrier. You'll notice today that we do have our carbon frame bikes up on here, and the reason for that is that the Sherpa doesn't actually have any frame contact. Utilizing a tire hold ratcheting arm system, we're not gonna have any kind of frame contact, allowing us to carry these carbon frame bikes, cause we won't be warping those frames. With that tire hold too, you're probably gonna negate a lot of the issues you might run into with other kind of frame style carriers whether they be platform or hanging style. more

Right outta the gate, the Swagman is gonna be a great kinda entry level bike rack to bike riding. As you guys can see, not gonna be anything kinda too crazy on this guy, don't have a lot of the bells and whistles that you might see on some of the more premium items. However, it is doing to do a great job of just getting our bikes to where we wanna go without having to break the bank to do so. more

Hey everybody. Welcome to etrailer.com, I'm Bobby. And today we're taking a look at the Kuat Transfer V2, two bike platform rack here, on our 2020 Nissan Murano. Now right outta the gate, as you guys can see, this is gonna be a great way of getting, yes, two bikes to the trails with you today, on this platform-style rack. However, a couple things I wanna get outta the gate right away, today we are on the inch and a quarter to two-inch hitch version. So what that means is, we only have a adapter sleeve on here, which is drastically reducing our bike limit on here. more

Now, right at the gate these guys are gonna be an excellent way of getting two bikes to the trails with you. However, I think you start actually limiting yourself with that. So, because of this guy doesn't have any kind of extension or anything, we are gonna be limited to two bikes. more

Hey everybody welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby and today we're taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Road Runner Four Bike Rack Carrier here on our 2020 Nissan Murano. Now hanging styles are a great way of getting a host of bikes to the trails with you. As you can see today, on a Road Runner we can fit up to four bikes on this carrier. Now, a lot of times with the hanging style though, what starts to end up happening as you get more and more bikes on here, you're gonna start seeing a lot more sway, and a lot more of your bikes making contact with each other. And that can end up, you know, starting to deteriorate a little bit of that frame, a little bit of that paint. more

Now platform style racks are gonna be a great way to really start increasing that stability that our bikes are gonna feel, and with the four bike Destination Bike Rack you are gonna get four bikes on this platform. So, a lot of times you get those big four bikes kind of carriers you're looking at hanging style. The Destination offers a great solution of giving us a nice stable platform. So things with that right out the gate we're not gonna have our bikes making a lot of contact with each other. more

Now, platform racks are gonna be a great way of giving a lot of stability for our bikes and with a lot of good contact that way it won't be rattling around causing any kind of damage. Well, HoldUp definitely does a very good job. We are gonna have a tire hold format on here. So, if you're looking a way of getting those carbon frame bikes to the trails with you, this can be a great little option as we aren't gonna have any frame contact. more

Hey, everybody, welcome to etrailer.com, I'm Bobby. And today, we're taking a look at the RockyMounts BackStage two-bike platform rack here on our 2020 Nissan Murano. Now, platform racks are gonna be a great way of getting your bikes to the trailhead with a lot of stability and a lot of cool little features that still allow us to usually get a lot of access to the back of our vehicle, and none other than the BackStage can do it better in my opinion, as you are getting a great little swing-away feature with this guy, not only, yes, can we tilt away from the back of our cargo, but we are gonna be able to swing this guy out and get full access to the back of our Murano, get into that spacious cargo hold and get anything we need, and can even turn it into a nice little hangout spot while we are actually out at the trails. The platform rack itself though, as you can see, is gonna be a nice little kind of low profile guy. Not gonna be anything too crazy going on. You'll notice all these little blue kind of measurements throughout or blue contact points throughout it, I should say. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Nissan Murano- Video
Hey, everybody, welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby, and today we're taking a look at the Inno Tire Hold 2 two-bike platform rack here on our 2020 Nissan Murano. Now, right out of the gate, platform racks are gonna be a great way to really increase the stability of your carrier, and no one on earth's gonna have as good of stability as the Inno Tire Hold 2. As you can see we are getting two holds on each end of our tires. That's gonna bring this all in line with this carrier. So as this carrier moves, it's really gonna cinch it down, and that way our bike isn't gonna be moving. more

The rack that we have here today on the back of our Murano can hold up to a total of two bikes, but if you need to carry more, there's a four-bike version available as well. Both size racks are going to be available in three different colors. There's going to be gunmetal gray, like we have here today, flat black, as well as metallic black. So it gives you a couple of different options and you can pick whichever one is your favorite or whichever one matches your Murano the best.But with that being said, one of the big questions that we get asked all the time is if you're still going to be able to have full access to the back of your SUV. more
